Stupid, Imbecilic, Moronic, Retardation Thursday
The stupid people are winning.
Despite my very best efforts, the dumbing down of America might officially be complete.
Making matters worse, I am forced to stick up for a couple of Democrats. I do not like defending Democrats.
Yet credibility trumps ideology, and a pair of incidents are forcing me to step in and restore sanity.
The first incident involves the inappropriate use of the term “Las Vegas.”
For those who do not know, Las Vegas is the gambling and screwing capital of the world. Yes, I know, there is more to sin city. Let it go. People go to Vegas for the decadence. Such trips are enjoyable luxuries, not necessities.
Speaking of something that has nothing to do with necessity, Barack Obama spoke again.
While much of what he says is insincere and irrelevant blather, he said something sensible this time. He said that people should not go and blow their money in Las Vegas if they have a mortgage to pay off.
This was a completely harmless comment that was about preaching fiscal responsibility.
If one wants to criticize Obama for hypocrisy on fiscal matters, that is fine. Yet the comment itself was an intelligent comment.
The people of Las Vegas were not amused. They treated the remarks as if their city was under nuclear attack.
Are we at that point in society where telling people not to gamble with the rent money is a crime?
Harry Reid criticized the remarks. Harry Reid could use the moral high ground, given that his last dustup with Obama involved a racial epithet.
I defended Reid then because I felt people needed to chill out. Now Reid and everyone else in Vegas should do the same.
Vegas is a great city. I love Vegas. I don’t gamble much, but the lights are gorgeous, and the women jiggling in their pasties are very pleasant. The buffets are better. Combine eating buffet food off a stripper’s belly, and the night is perfect.
What was my point again?

This is the second time Obama was accused of “attacking” Vegas. Nevada politicians have bigger things to worry about.
The only thing Obama was guilty of was violating political correctness.
Yet if Vegas was an ant, another retarded matter was an elephant, and not a Republican one.
It kills me, but in a dispute involving Sarah Palin and Rahm Emanuel, I am siding with Rahmbo.
Sarah Palin is one of the best human beings in politics. Rahm Emanuel is one of the worst. Yet in a retarded issue that should never be stupid enough to become an issue at all, I have to defend Rahm.
In a private meeting, Emanuel referred to liberals as “f*cking retarded.”
He was 100% right. They are retarded. They need to hear that every single day.
Rahm Emanuel has few redeeming qualities, but at least he is politically incorrect. In 2006 he dragged the Democratic Party kicking and screaming into normalcy. Normal means non-liberal.
Like an intelligent strategist, Rahm does not want ideological purity. He wants winning. Liberals are threatening to go after moderate Democrats. This is nuts. It is insane. It is retarded.
Retarded is an insult because it refers to people of low intelligence. What else would one call liberals who cut off their noses to spite their leftist faces?
Now we are told that retarded is the sacred r-word, similar to the n-word.
Absolutely not. Black people were 3/5 of a human being. They had fire hoses turned on them. Nobody is taking special needs children and dousing them with water or gasoline.

True they altered the lyrics in some venues to make it “Let’s get it started,” but the song is “Let’s get retarded.” Should the entire party apologizing for wanting to get “ign’nt,” which is is the same as getting ignorant, except with more slang? (Apparently getting ign’nt is like getting stupid, which in the world of hip hop dancing, is a positive thing, in the same way Michael Jackson meant “bad” to be good.) Will we burn Black Eyed Peas music like we did with the Beatles?
An episode of South Park dealt with 9/11 conspiracies. Cartman stated that 25% of people believed in them, and asked if that made 25% of Americans retards. Kyle responded to Cartman that “There are 4 of us. You’re a retard. So, yes.”
Liberals have wrecked society with political correctness, and conservatives should not join the fray. I totally sided with Sarah Palin when Letterman attacked her kids. Yet nothing Emanuel said was a slap at special needs children.
The Democrats are an entire political party of special needs children. When they turn on themselves, it is quite the spectacle.
I am sick of terms like “special needs” children and “handicapable” people. They are not handicapable. They are handicapped. They have limitations. This is not in any way a slight. It is a statement of fact. Ask any kid with a limitation of they would rather be like other kids, and they would say yes. Calling a kid “special” may make them feel good, but kids are not stupid. They know it is a euphemism that masks the fact that they have to work harder to do tasks other kids do with ease.
I once played in a basketball game where we all played so badly that one of the guys said we were playing like the “Special Olympics of Basketball.”

I wonder sometimes, had Rahm not been so successful in making people
believe in the unreal, vs the real, ( Obama the messiah, vs McCain, the
prisoner of war), and McCain/Palin won the election, how different things would have been?
How would the health plan fared? What about cap and trade? Would unemployment be at 20% and rising? Would we be borrowing trillions from
abroad and still dependent on foreign oil?
Would there have been a Hasan? Would Mohammads be tried for terrorism
in lower Manhattan? Would Gitmo be a source of controversy in the Arab-Muslim and third worlds? Would they like US any differently?

Democrats have proposed the establishment of a public-option government-run health plan. Some of the consequences of this government take over of health care include higher costs, lower quality and fewer choices.
Government Control:
Government programs constitute nearly half of all health care spending, and further increasing government’s clout may well limit patient care as a way to contain costs. The federal government already imposes price controls on doctors, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. Controls on patient procedures are likely to follow.
Spending and Tax Increases:
Democrats proposed more than $850 billion in tax increases on small businesses and middle class families to pay for their health care reform plan. Health spending will jump from 16.6% to 17.6% of GDP this year alone. House Democrats are calling for an additional $1.6 trillion in new health spending - on top of the more than $150 billion in health spending in the “stimulus” bill.
Massive, Forced Dislocation of Currently Insured Individuals:
Analysis by actuaries at the independent Lewin Group found that nearly 114 million individuals could involuntarily lose their private coverage due to a government-run plan, and be forced into the public plan.
Reduced Revenue for Providers:
Other analysis by the Lewin Group found that a government-run plan reimbursing at Medicare rates would cause hospitals’ total revenue to drop by nearly 5% ($36.5 billion), and physicians’ total revenue to decline by nearly 7% ($36.4 billion).
Poorer Coverage and Access:
CBO Director Doug Elmendorf recently testified that traditional Medicare provides a benefit package 15% lower than the standard employer-sponsored plan which is one reason why more than four in five Medicare beneficiaries rely on supplemental health coverage. In Medicaid, low provider participation rates often lead to long waits for care, such that low-income Americans would prefer private insurance coverage to Medicaid by a more than two-to-one margin.
Fraud:
Reports by the Government Accountability Office and other watchdog groups have highlighted persistent problems with fraud in government-run Medicare - estimating tens of billions per year, at taxpayer expense.

I got up this morning and turned on the news. My God, Obama was on t.v. again. There he was looking down his nose and smirking at me and preaching as arrogantly as possible and telling me that I am an ideological moron because I disagree with everything, and I mean everything, he stands for. I flipped him off and changed to the weather channel. I like some of the tunes they play during “local on the 8s”
Don’t be sucked in by the Dems and their slamming Obama they are not sincere. They are just afraid for their jobs. The Dems will jump ship, run like rats, scatter like quail, scurry like cockroaches in the light, lie and stab any body in the back to maintain their positions. There is no honor among thieves.
It will take a miracle to clean up this mess, and removing a few Dems from their ivory towers will not get the job done. I remember something Hillary said during the great 2008 compaign refering to the economic down turn, “We need to take some things away from some people”. She is right and I recommend starting with the EPA. Unfund and dismantle the EPA.
This bloated bureaucracy has done more harm to families, communities, businesses and local governments over the years than we will ever be able to repair. All in the name of protecting whatever or whomever they want to protect at the moment. I made an observation years ago that the EPA was eat up with PhDs all trying to write papers and not plagarize each other. That still stands.
I wonder how much tax money we would save?
Oh yeah, what about the 10s of thousands of government employees without jobs? I don’t care.

Now, if you could show me some economists - not partisan shill economists, but real economists - who think Obama and the Dems are being “irresponsible” then I could take that seriously. Otherwise, it’s just retarded.
As for their “solutions,” they are retarded. As for their critiques of what refoprms have been offered, they are retarded as well. If you think tort reform will fix anything, you’re retarded. If think the federal government can force the states to allow interstate insurance sales, you’re retarded. If you think insurance co-ops work, after they’ve been pretty much proven a complete failure in most caes, you’re retarded. These “proposals” are nothing but phony political talking points. Retarded.
