Our good host now decides that fate of men’s souls?
“You have spent far too much time criticizing your predecessor, despite the fact that he has been overwhelmingly gracious to you and your family. In fact, to this day he refuses to publicly criticize you.”
He really has no choice but to remind us all why we’re in our current situation. We are in the worst straights since the 1930’s, and were it not for the New Deal and Great Society, against which Republicans and Conservatives so vehemently fought, we would be in the same straights as then - and you Conservatives would be hiding from angry mobs, rather then comfortably pontificating on the state of other people’s souls. As long as there are politicians and pundits slandering Obama for our current situation, he will have the need to remind us of the truth. I can’t imagine how his honesty in this matter is a threat to his very soul! Does the right now consider honest assesment of the obvious and immediate past a mortal sin?

Well, first of all, this is the sort of ridiculous hyperbole that forces our good president to remind us of reality on regular basis. he most certainly has NOT focused the same level of criticism on Fox News and Rush limbaugh as he has terrorists, juntas, and militant theocrats. He has, on the other hand, employed his freedom of speech to respond to others employment of that right. I know that conservative only see issues of the First Amendment when it only affects them, but if Fox and Rush can criticize Obama, then Obama can criticize them. That is the American Way. Does the Right now consider public discourse and argument a mortal sin?
“Afghanistan and Iraq need your attention, and you are distracted…and distracting…with nonsense.”
How do you know if he’s “distracted?” What sort of presumption is this? I seriously doubt he spends much time at all thinking about Fox and Rush and the rest of the loony Right. He has political staff for that. Me thinks you presume too much.

This column was an expresion of blatant hypocrisy. The insane hyperbolic, hateful, paranoid, lunatic rhetoric that has been spewing from the Right since their utter defeat last year is what needs to start changing, or you guys are going to be in the minority for a long time to come. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, said a smart guy once. You guys on the left don’t have a sinless man or woman among you.

My criticism of this blogger, are his generalizations about
liberals. Some liberals are my best friends exactly, even though I
don’t necessarily agree with them.
Let’s be honest, the Presidency is above the pettiness of Obama’s
criticism (attacks) on Rush and Fox News.
That, I believe, is what Eric is telling US. Obama is petty, trite, irrelevant
at times, simple minded and shallow. Now this is different from paranoid hateful, etc., that the Conservatives are sometimes accused of.
While parts of the world are preparing for a jihad, or “final jihad”, or infusing their brand of Communism or socialism into neighboring countries, our President is “dithering”.
Folks, his dithering is causing our boys and girls in Afghanistan, to be killed, blown up by IEDs, or RPGs. Most have been killed this month there
than any other previous month in this no-win 8 year old war.
Please everyone, read for information, Douglas Feith’s “War and Decision”. He was one of the neocons..who Bush listened to, among others. In fact, Bush listened to paleocons too, people like Don Rumsfeld
and Dick Cheney. He listened ( as does Obama) to a lot of people, before
embarking on both the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Sometimes I wonder how things would be now if his adversaries won the day., if the liberals in Congress had the majority vote?
One thing about Feith, he admits mistakes. Herr Obama as yet has not
admitted a mistake, caus he hasn’t done anything, in over 9 months in office, not including the transition period.
While Obama reflects on things..Rome is burning, burning meaning
Iraq, Afganistan, Iran, No. Korea, Cuba, 22 Arab dictatorships, Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, the DLFP and the PFLP.
You ask why I’m against Obama and his liberal advisers, and liberal
perspective, where can I start?
I wish Obama would just let Fox be Fox..a combined news and entertainment TV program. That’s all it is folks. Take from it what you want.
Rush has his points of view, and admits his bias. We can view him as a jokster, sort of like Milton Berle or Jay Leno, or a serious newsperson.
I mean, listen sometimes to David Letterman. What is he? He brought
down Sarah Palin, who, in my opinion, has more balls than all the Democratic leaders combined.
We in the US of A are paying for people like Letterman, CBS, NBC,
CNN, PBS.
Watch Charlie Rose sometimes, a true liberal. He has repeated told his
audiences with loaded questions at his guests, that “Iraq is the worst
foreign policy disaster ever” Worse foreign policy disaster? We’ve lost
4200 guys (and gals) in 6 plus years to free 25m Iraqis, give them taste
of democracy, and rid the world of Saddam ( who attacked Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Israel, killed off his own family, murdered over 500,000 Iraqis, relocated thousands of Marsh Arabs, tranaferred entire populations of Arabs to Iran, brought in Sunnis from Arabia, had WMD, used WMD,
had the capacity to build WMD, shipped WMD to either Syria or Libya, threatened to incinerate Israel if Baghad were invaded, was building long range missiles, was attempting to purchase uranium ore from Africa…killed thousands of Kurds, would have united with a nuclear Iran someday..all in all, was a bad guy.
I mean, look at what is happening lately with the swine flu panic and we
have enough vaccine to stop it’s spread (1,000 have died to date).
There was an experiment folks prior to our invasion of Iraq. A simulated smallpox attack on the East Coast left millions dead. We simply didn’t have enough vaccine to stop it. It’s chilling.
We now face thousands of quiet terrorist cells right here in the US of A.
Yet Obama says nothing..but devote some time to Rush and Fox.
That is, I believe Erics’ criticism.
Mr. Obama, you were elected by naive college fools, and people who
liked the idea that you are racial (black). Doesn’t that say something folks? First of all Obama is not black, he is bi-racial. He is part white, in fact, mostly white. Why not consider him white? His policies are not
particulary pro-black, are they? Where, how?
Some say that had the Conservatives prevailed years ago, during
our times of crisis, there would be bloodshed in the streets. I doubt it.
I mean, talk about presumptions.
Eric sees through the perfidy of the “Progressives”, the “liberals” and
the left wing of the Democrats.
Thank G-d for people like Eric, like Rush, and TV stations like Fox.
For more proof, watch Bill Moyers on the PBS sometimes…but be wary,
you might vomit.

Dan, Fox and AM Talk Radio are spreading lies and paranoia about the president. He is simply reacting. We’re talking a couple of comments on his part here and there. I see no evidence whatsoever that he spends more than a minute or so thinking about such things in any given period of incessant lies and paranoia.
You want to talk petty???
News broke today of serious allegations involving multiple representatives and the defense sector. Any talk of that here? No, the very post itself was a petty attack on a petty attack on petty attacks. That’s a Triple Petty.
But I give our good host credit one on thing here: I do believe Obama should be above all this. I think it’s a mistake for him to personally address the wingnuts crowd psuedo-concerns. But one of those pseudo-concerns is this “terrible” “Jihad” we’re all supposed to be so afraid of. Anyone who knows anything about Western history knows that our greatest enemies have never been from the outside, but from the greed and hubris and stupidity of our own.

Of course he has a choice. What kind of lame escapism is that ?
One of his other choices could be to man up and take resposibility instead of always blaming Bush for everything. Its really quite sickening to see a grown man acting that way.
He had his own strategy for Afghanistan 6 months ago, it failed, he owns that war now, not Bush.

Which is a point that Eric was making when he said that Obama would hold his hand out to Iran but not genuine decent men simply because they had different ideologies.

These guys cant come up with enough vaccine after having more than 1/2 a year and they think they can run healthcare for the whole country ?

When interviewed at the white House by Bill OReilly Bush was asked if the attacks from the liberal media bothered him.
He said “no”.
He didnt go after or blame Clinton when by all means it was his deriliction of duty that allowed 911.
He didnt go after MSNBC and the others that Eric mentioned.
He didnt feel he needed to play referee between a cop and a teacher by having a world wide airing of the beer summit, he also never called our cops “stupid”.
Bush never sponsored his home town in an effort to bring it the olympics.
He never said babies were punsihment.
He never had a cabinet whos members all simultaneouslu ganged up on one news outlet.
He never attempted to have a particular news organization excluded from a press hearing.
Still wanna talk about whos acting like an adult ?

There is an editorial in this months edition of Commentary Magazine, a right leaning very articulate Jewish monthly, about Herr Obama.
He is compared to rock and roll stars..the heavy metal kind and
movie stars.
Please everyone read the editorial.
It says it all about our do-nothing President.
While boys and girls die in Afghanistan and Iraq, Obama cannot makeup his mind what to do. His hand appointed general says, to win, we must
immediately send 40,000 troops.
His leftist, pinko, liberal, socialist members of Congress..want out.
So, Mr. “Dithers” does nothing, but fake smile, show traces of anger,
and otherwise display no emotion.
According to the article, he, like movie stars, has remained distant
from the public..unapproachable, untouchable, and not understandable.
I ask, where does he stand?
So far, in 10 months, he has done nothing, revealed nothing, except
a love affair with our worst enemies.
Oh yes, he has leaned on little Israel to stop building nursery schools
in the W. Bank and Jerusalem, while the Arabs have over 40,000 illegally built homes in East Jerusalem (no permits granted them).
Folks, this is not about schools for little children, it’s about reversing
Israel’s gains in 48 and 67. (Read Michael Orens “The Six Days of War”.
People tend to forget that 100,000 Egyptians were poised to attack
Israel’s Negev, and up along the coastal cities. Millions of Muslims
cried “Jihad”, “Death to the Jews”, “Throw them into th sea”.
In 1973, Egypt’s 2nd and 3rd Armies had gas vans in the desert.
Gas vans? For what I ask?
Fellow lurkers and posters on this site…to know what the reality is,
see photos of Muslims in London…see their hatred for the West and the USA. See what their goals are..another Holocaust. It’s in the open, nothing
hidden.
And what does liberal Obama do, nothing..nothing, nothing.
Please everyone, in the Nov 2010 elections, vote the liberal Democrats
out of office. Send them back to their blue states (mainly New York, California, Illinois, Penn and Florida)., for the sake of our very survival.
From No. Korea, to Afghanstan, to Iraq and Iran..Obama has failed.

There’s much more to life in America than what goes on in Israel and London, Dan.
President Obama and his administration, uinlike the last administration, actually think things through and work with our elected representatives. They are not knee-jerk, mindless, Randian cultists. They are intelligent and thoughtful, anathema to the Right.
And though the Right insists Obama has accomplished nothing, he’s in fact cut taxes for the working man, saved us from an impending depression, begun the end to the war in Iraq, returned scientific research to it’s proper place and standing, greatly assisted families and students with their student loan burdens, and is moving to properly and fairly regulate the financial and healthcare sectors.
He’s done more good for this country in just nine months than George W Bush, George HW Bush, and Ronald Reagan ever did in 20 years.
If Israel wants more from us, then they should stop settling the West Bank. It is sleazy and underhanded.
