We might have no choice but to go into Pakistan one of these days. Unfortunately we were stupid enough to waste our resources in the unnecessary invasion of Iraq. And going into Iraq, Syria, and “the rest of the gang” would have GUARENTEED a harding and further popularity of the theocratic revolutionaries in that part of the world. As usual, the neocons have learned nothing from history.

Prolonging the inevitable by minimizing it as you and the left does with your constant downplaying of real threats is not only stupid, its suicidal.
But the left wont worry because you wont see those dilusionals running to enlist when the crap hits the fan
Thats what got us 911 in the first place.
We should of finished off Saddam in the 90s. That would of freed us up today to be more effetive against Iran, Syria and the rest of the gang.
But, thats just me.

Hey, I hear ya’, Micky. Bringing “democracy” to the Middle East at this time is about the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. That’s one of the main reasons I was against the invasion of Iraq. And Pakistan is even worse than that.

But the country with the most to lose should Pakistan become a theocracy is not America, not Israel - it’s India. If Pakistan did become a theocarcy, there’s a good chance India, America, and maybe even Russia and China could be drawn into a serious conflagration there.

Let’s hope the military in Pakistan keeps things together for now. In the meantime, we’ve got to get together with the other powers and try to disarm their nuclear arsenal. Pakistan is probably the most dangerously volatile place on Earth and has been for many years now. Not Iran. Not North Korea. Not Iraq (never really was). But Pakistan. It’s ashame the neocons got that so terribly wrong (as usual).
