Look Jersey, alot of candidates have lost in certain demographics because they are white.
But including the nation as a whole I see him losing on merit, not color.
The problem I have is this.

You and whoever else have to got to stop this kind of thing whre you use a mans race as an excuse for his lack of success. Not that its not true, but you have to preach that he can overcome the ignorance of others and not that he is a victim of it.
Its not too far a stretch to say that in some corners of the country you will have civil unrest if the belief that he lost only due to race becomes the main theme of dissent.
If Obama were smart and he had to give a speech concieding a loss he would tell the people that he lost to a better man not because of race, but because he had the qualifications.
The only way the country is going to heal from this race induced sentiment is if you guys stop saying that kind of crap.
Ya know, in Hillarys case you called it misogyny.
I dont think that at all. I think its because she's a b*tch and a Clinton.

Obviously the country must be ready for a black president otherwise Obama would not have the turnout you're talking about. Its the people in the center that will decide this. The racist radical vote is usally on the far side of any party, not in the moderate/independant center.

Micky, all you have to do is look at the numbers - look at the numbers of minorities in the ranks of the GOP, look at the numbers of minorities who vote GOP, look at the demographics of GOP constitutencies, and then look at what happened in the Democratic primaries... The whiter the state, the fewer the votes for Obama. And it's not so much that whites in more ethnically mixed states did not vote for Obama, but that more whites in less mixed states did not. There are the odd exceptions to this rule in the West, where small constituencies of very progressive, young, mostly college-town Democratic voters turned the tide for Obama, but in the South, the whiter the state, the more likely the vote for Clinton - especially in Kentucky and West Virginia. Were it not for the massive turn-outs of Anti-Hillary and black voters in the rest of the South, Obama would certainly have lost the nomination to Clinton.

Obama is now mobilizing the largest voter-turn-out effort in our history. He has a lot of experience with this and for all I know, it just may work, changing the face of the electorate for a generation. But as things stand now, I firmly believe that Americans are still too divided by race to elect a black president, especially one who is perceived to be "liberal" and "radical," the perfect excuses to vote against the man with a clean conscience, if not subconscience, as Obama is neither all that liberal nor radical at all.

Tommorow I'll post some ideas on your blog.
Eric might trip if I start posting recipes on his blog

You dont accuse me of racism because I never use it as an excuse or reason for anything unless I am pointing out the obvious.
I've seen a lot of ethnicity get by and not use their minority or ethnicity as an excuse for their fasilure or reason for their success.
There are of course exceptions.
But to say that a man who has gotten as far as Obama in a world where racism is still prevalent in some degree will only fail now because of race is conflicting in message.
And is racist in a sense that race will be the common gripe if he looses.
I find that disgusting and naive.
Right now polls have been slightly in his favor for months now. Even with a error margin its always been very close.
If he were actually just a little more seasoned, he could probably win. As much as I hate to admit that, I think its true. So, to say that if he loses it will be because the color of his skin is just abdurd and chicken sh*t

Oh, and look, I don't accuse guys like you, or guys like Eric, of racism, okay? Really. Eric is a Wall Street Republican - the only color he sees is green (no offense - I only wish I saw that color more often!). You're basically a Libertarian Conservative and that's fine by me. The "dissonance" here, in my humble opinion, is that it seems to me you guys are ashamed of the "Southern Strategy," the "Positive Polarization," the "Silent Majority" - the abosorbtion of the South into the Republican Party (the Dixiecrats, the Radically Religious, the Moral Majority, the Christian Coalition, the militias and orthodox Mormons and such, etc). That's all. What I don't understand is why you don't decry your own once in a while! Why is it so hard for you guys to disagree amongst yourselves once in a while? The main reason I'm here is because I can't for the life of me understand why any Jew would trust a conservative Christian farther than they could throw them. Really.

Hey, by the way, you're a chef - what's the best recipe for the best sandwich-style roast beef??? I've tried everything, but I just can't quite get the perfect roast for slicing. I mean, I'm alright, but I know I could do a lot better. I do have a good slicer in my kitchen, it's a Waring Pro. Is it that? I've tried all the different cuts - top, bottom, sirloin, eye, etc. Is there a cut that's best for that? The in-laws are coming down in a couple weeks and I'd love to show off some blogger-friend advice on the table.

Actually, if you stop trying to apper so educated you woulod actully look smarter.
Cognitive dissonace has absolutly nothing to do with you being so feeble and unimaginative that you can only label something Cognitive dissonace when it disagrees with you or actually spells out what you are.

"Dissonance" in grammar is the deliberate avoidance of assonance, i.e. patterns of repeated vowel sounds and words.
Which simply means, you dont like what I said so you ignore it or try to hide the truth of the meaning with a bunch od obfuscating smoke screens.

Main Entry: cog·ni·tive
Pronunciation: \ˈkäg-nə-tiv\
Function: adjective
Date: 1586
1 : of, relating to, being, or involving conscious intellectual activity (as thinking, reasoning, or remembering)
2 : based on or capable of being reduced to empirical factual knowledge

Conscious intellectual activity is also present in trufers, Charley Sheen, Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan. But only with the input they take in that suits the preconsisting suspicions derived from confusion which usually leads to fabricated BS that is easier to remember than the truth.

Bait and switch ?
That is called "disengenuous cognitove disonance.
It was you who bated yourself because, IT WAS YOU WHO BROUGHT IT UP !!
NO ONE BAITED YOU BUT YOURSELF !
Nice try Barney.

And like I said, stop trying to appear so edumacated, you are not.

"it becomes obvious to all but the "blithely" blind that his race was the main determinent factor."

blithe (bl, blth)
adj. blith·er, blith·est
1. Carefree and lighthearted.
2. Lacking or showing a lack of due concern; casual: spoke with blithe ignorance of the true situation.

No one is "carefree and lightheartedly" blind

And just because they are blind does not mean they are lacking concern or ignorant or have "undue concerns'

Who the he** are you to say what is due and undue ?PLease tell me !!

You see, there your snotty uppity liberal butt goes again, calling people ignorant because their views differ.

I have met many gutless wonders who will fall back on Obamas race if he looses instead of just admitting he has no record whatsoever in comparison to McCain.
How weak, how pathetic, what a statement that will make about the democratic party if enough of you start saying that. You have no idea how childish and ignorant that is.

"Because of his positions, message, and style. That’s why he beat Hillary. Hillary represented the status quo - Obama, something new. Hillary supported the war and never apologized for her vote - Obama was right about the war from the very beginning and to this day. "

Only at the beggining, he has been nothing but wrong lately.
"Because of his positions, message, and style is why he should win, if not , its because he didnt have enough positions and messages that made sense to America.
But you know you will lose so you are already coming up with ifs, ands, buts, and race as your ace's , excuses, and reasons to cry foul, like spineless liberals always do.
its occams razor The most useful statement of the principle is
when you have two competing theories that make exactly the same predictions, the simpler one is the better.

And that simplification would be that he aint got what it takes
