Yea Charly,
Its scary when a pre-marxist socialist starts warming up to the biggest communist country on earth. Not to be confused with Gerbil warming.
     http://www.bonilogue.com/2007/04/23/gerbil-warming/

And yes, the left is scared. Especially after that implosion last night. They all got a good look at what their horses look like under just a little pressure. You could almost hear all the butt holes twitching and sqeeking with fear as they stumbled over and fought with each other.
Sesame street had its act together better than these guys.

Micky2,

I hope you're right about the fear factor. Hillary is positiively a socialist (at least) and thinks she will be anointed as our 1st woman president. The prospect scares me to death. Her husband and Al Gore sold much of our defense capabilities to the Chinese when they were in office. Now the Chnese are pouring money into her campaign. Why do you think that is?
You are correct about the dems having no one else with enough name recognition to challenge her. What I fear is that she has managed to snow enough libs to elect her.

If she wins, Taiwan, So. Korea, the Phillipines and Japan will go the way of Tibet. Hamas and the Clintons will be able to extort Isreal down to a few acres in the Negev. (Only 1 or 2 Scuds needed to wipe the remnant out.) And remember that joke about the simplified tax form? (line 1: What is your income? line 2: Send it to us.)

That's why I will hold my nose and vote for any republican.

Jersey,

WAKE UP! Pull your head out of the sand. Nothing the dems have been prattling about will amount to anything if the Chinese acquire a base on the moon. They can already track our carriers anywhere with the technology CLINTON and Gore sold them - for campaign money.

Oh , here we go with the "I'm above this " nonsense.
Real opinions from a viable majority is "stupidity"
Anyone who doesnt believe that she thinks shes Robinhood is not paying attention.
It was all over evry media source a few weeks ago when she flat out accused ny every decent news program, including NBC,CBS and CNN that the only way she could pay for all these gifts was by reaching into "your" wallet.

Do some research Jersey ! She has always been a socialist to the Max.
But a true socialist wouldnt call it that, thats all ! They call it democracy, it sounds better.
All her propositions and ideas involve nothing but more and big govrnment.

You're getting your butt hammerd on this one because the facts I presented you with are overwhelming. And so you chicken out by acting as if its all stupid and beyond you.
Being condecending with no facts just makes your case look laughable.

The bottom line is this.
The Dems are screwed, Hillary is their only real hope and they know it. And with that they are scared. None of the other Dems would stand a chance in hell up against Giuliani, Romney , Huckabee or even Thompson. The Republicans have some pretty formidable candidates where the Dems only have Hillary.
The Dems are screwed.

How does it feel to be so smart that no one can understand you ?
At least give an explanation when you discount others as "childish, stupid, idiots.
It doesnt sell anything when you just throw out these things with not being able to elaborate on it.
You really need to stop thinking people are so much dumber than you.

Micky,

No. I really do think that the whole "Shrillary" movemnet is composed of idiots. She's not a socialist and does not want to "tax the crap out of everyone." That is just stupid and ridiculous demagogy.

I am not going to debate this stupidity further with you. It is copmic-book level childishness.

As far as Bush goes, his record is far more impressive than anyone of your persuasion would lead anyone to believe.
Expecting you to tell the truth on Bush is like expecting a junkie to show you where he hides his dope
Since August of 2003 almost 8 million jobs have been created
This Bush economy has added jobs for 44 straight months
Unemployment is at 4.5% which is lower then the 5.2% average during the Clinton's 8 year run
Real after-tax income has risen approx. 10.4% or more then $3,000 dollars since Bush came into office
The Bush economy has averaged approx. 3% of growth for the last five years
The deficit is down dramatically

Tax revenues are up by 9.3 or 954.4 billion dollars which means we've raised more tax revenues in the last two years then in any other two year period in our history.

Wages for most people have risen faster then inflation

Inflation remains low
Home Ownership is higher then ever
All this after 9/11, after Afghanistan and Iraq.

But Hillary is going to combat this rough economy? What load of crap ! Whatever happened to Democrats like John F. Kennedy?

Hillary said;
'I want to take those profits, and I want to put them into a strategic energy fund'...

There is just one little problem with that. . . that money is not hers to take. That money belongs to the shareholders of the company. No one else. Some of that money might belong to me and some to my parents and some to the old folks up the street. This is a glaring example of Hillary's socialist agenda. She will take money from YOU if she thinks you don't deserve it or if she thinks someone else needs it.

Jersey, there is OVERWHELMING evidence and complaints nationwide that she can only do what she promises on the backs of others.

JMJ said;
"Unlike you, I do not look at politics as some sort of team sport or popularity contest. I do not care about “winners and losers."

Yes you are unlike me. It goes without saying. I choose to be a winner. But the looser in this case is going be those that are like you. No real candidate is on the top of my list, I dont what gave you that idea, but then again.
My only purpose is to make sure a Dem does not get into office. And to shred and expose their lies and underlying agendas every chance I get.
The crappiest conservative is a better bet than the best Dem.

That was a very elaborate little post . but nothing new really.
You are still trying to make yourself out to be some kind of specialized elite thinker when nothing could be further from the truth. Your cynisicm and sarcasim and hatred are all too predictable on a chronic level not too far from the mentallity of the most rabid KOSACK.

I use to be an independent , as you seem to claim to be.
The only problem with it was that there was just too much opportunity to have to cover up conflicts if interest.
I know without confusion exactly where I stand. For anyone to say that they have found a candidate with the exact same idealogue as them is either nuts or a liar. Its hard to get supported from one side or the other if you don't at least lean favorably in one direction.
Sitting on the fence as you do sucks.

I'll quote you again;
"“I too was a Reagan supporter at the time, but then found myself going all the way the left over the years. But then, on many issues I break with them as well. Righties call me a socialist, lefties call me a pragmatist. Maybe I'm a Socratist - no that can't be it. I'm not a big Soctrates fan. Maybe I'm Pracialist. Yeah. I’ll stick with that.”

You're a fair weather friend Jersey, synonymous with greed and arrogance.
The only reason I believe that you don't commit to one thing or another is because in case of failure, you wont have to be held accountable for being a part of that failure.
Much like Hillary, she wont answer a question with definition or commit to anything for fear of being wrong and looking bad, and God forbid she or you exercise any accountability for a mistake. She has also chosen as you have to give herself some new elite fancy shmancy label of her political ideology " progressive" something or other. Taking a crap is also progressive.

(have to do the section thing again)

"Mrs. Clinton is also associated with the fiasco dubbed “Hillarycare,” the Clinton Administration Socialized medicine scheme that failed to pass Congress. But Mrs. Clinton, who has been greatly underestimated by her critics, has learned her lesson. The plan went down because she did not have big business on her side. In moving forward with her international Socialist agenda,"

I believe she has a political ideology that has its roots in Marxism. In her formative years, Marxism was a very important part of her ideology...But when you look at her ideas on health and education, you see more government and less individual control. You see very little regard for families...

Hillary Clinton promises to combat rising inequality and rising pessimism in the United States workforce. Translated into english this means raising our taxes, repealing the cuts that are already in place. So lets look at a few things about our current economy. Now, just reminder, Bush inherited a economy that was going into a recession (beginning in March of 2001, yes I know this is two months after Bush took office but unless his immediate policies effected the economy in two months we know that it was the Clinton policies that created this recession)...just food for thought when you look at the below data:

Stop using the word idiot just because you dont think something is true or seen your way. It makes you look unimaginative and "not too bright"
You are by no means as smart as you would have alot of us believe.
Hillary is a piss poor business person because her only solution to her promises is to tax the crap out of everyone, she said so herself.
Her staff already told her to stop giving things away. 401s , 5000.00 for each baby , s-chip and on and on.
All these promoses depend on taxation and leave nothing up to the private sector.

Micky, I never said Hillary was anything other than just as or more qualified to be president as Bush was. She seems striking brighter, anyway.

Look, you can support Bush all you like, but you can't deny that his past wasn't much to speak of. Especially in comparison to most of his predecessors.

I know that I am considered on the far left of the American polity. That's okay with me. But I'm also a realist and consider things as they are and when I vote I vote with that in mind. I perenially split my tickets, mostly at the local level, and simply think that the Dems are better than the GOP in general today. I also think that a shift to a Dem Hill and White House would help to offset the damages the single party rule of the past 7 years have done. Usually I would prefer split government at all levels, but that isn't a steadfast position. I would love a Social Democracy as they have in Europe, but that ain't happening any time soon - which is one of the reasons I think that paranoid loonies are wasting their energy fighting a virtually nonexistant "socialist" or "leftist" movement in America. Hillary is no socialist. You'd really have to be an idiot to think otherwise. She's a rather typical, babyboomer, mainstream pol. So are most of those running on both sides of the partisan "divide." Either way, we are going to have "free trade," private heath insurance middlemen profiteering, conflicted contracting, etc. Nothing is going to change all that much with any of the top people running today.

Unlike you, I do not look at politics as some sort of team sport or popularity contest. I do not care about "winners and losers." I only care about the direction of the nation. I do not need to feel that I am on the winning team or with the popular crowd. I do not particluarly care what stupid notions the masses get stuck in their heads and am glad that we live in a republic as opposed to a mob-rule democracy. In fact, I'm really glad that I am not one of the sheep. With all that in mind, I seperate my personal beliefs from my realistic expectations and perceptions. I take what I can get and do what I can do.

Hillary is no socialist. You’d really have to be an idiot to think otherwise. She’s a rather typical, babyboomer, mainstream pol. So are most of those running on both sides of the partisan “divide.” Either way, we are going to have “free trade,” private heath insurance middlemen profiteering, conflicted contracting, etc. Nothing is going to change all that much with any of the top people running today.

Unlike you, I do not look at politics as some sort of team sport or popularity contest. I do not care about “winners and losers.” I only care about the direction of the nation. I do not need to feel that I am on the winning team or with the popular crowd. I do not particluarly care what stupid notions the masses get stuck in their heads and am glad that we live in a republic as opposed to a mob-rule democracy. In fact, I’m really glad that I am not one of the sheep. With all that in mind, I seperate my personal beliefs from my realistic expectations and perceptions. I take what I can get and do what I can do.

Everytime you get critisized for your ridiculous remarks you start throwing "pedantic" in my face.
Well you know what ? Too bad jersey !
If you want have a serious debate at least be realistic,. otherwise your lack of reality will be pointed out !

And you're a genious for thinking she is a better business person that him?
Bush had some failures in his begginings but all his endeavors today are holding together very well thankyou.
Besides that, your ass is still in one peice, but out of shear ignorant hatred you wont even give him that much credit.
You can stand next to your statements all you want. But the facts remain the same.

You guys are screwed. The Dem candidates in this election are some of the most pathetic choices I've seen in my life, and the left knows it.

Obviously your preferences are not too popular with the majority. But then again the majority is not too bright right Jersey ? We have more stupid people in this country than smart ones , right Jersey ?

Gravel ? Who? I think Kinky Freidman has better approval ratings than him.

Kucinich ? The guy is a three time looser. But then you /your guys think that if they keep doing the same thing over and over it will become truth one day.
Whos not too bright now ?
You have to back someone who actually has a chance if you want to be taken seriously Jersey.
I take Kucinich about as seriously as you do Ted Nugent, its a romantic little idea, but harldy plausable.

Once again, you can stand by your statements all you want, but eventually the flies are going to get to you.

Micky,

I said, "I’d rather the government do nothing than do something stupid (you know, like evry single thing they did in the Bush/GOP Hill days). ”

"No one will take you seriously when you make absolute statements like that.
Every single thing?"

I have a hard time thinking of anything good they did. I guess there may be one or two things, but I can't think of them now. Overall, I stand by my statemnet, regardless of your pedantic critique of my

I said, “She’s got more than Bush had! She’s qualified. That’s not an issue for me.”

"Another brilliant statement. She has never even run a lemonade stand in her life or any substantial form of commerce."
